Kia has recently unveiled its new electric car, the Kia EV9, which is one of the many new models that will contribute to the group's electric car portfolio.
Hyundai will also present the Hyundai IONIQ 7 in the coming year, which is based on the large SUV concept Seven.
The group is targeting an annual production volume of 1.51 million electric cars in South Korea and 3.54 million globally by 2030.
They will also begin regional production of electric cars that are specifically designed for the regions in which they will be sold.
For example, Kia plans to manufacture compact and medium-sized electric cars in Europe.
Last week, Kia announced that it has begun construction of a new factory that will build adaptable transport vehicles such as electric vans, known as PBV vehicles.
The first cars are expected to roll out of this factory in 2025.
