Theophilus Chin, a digital artist also known as Theottle, has created a new VW-Ford collaboration concept, imagining an electric Ford Fiesta derived from the Volkswagen ID.2.

The concept design closely resembles the new versatile Volkswagen city car, which could potentially be named ID.2 or ID.Polo.

The rendering shows a combination of an ID.2 all with a Ford Mustang Mach-E front end and rear end.

It is not uncommon for manufacturers to use this method to create models from existing ones, modifying only the front and rear faces, or simply rebadging a model.

It is important to note that if Ford were to pursue this project, their designers would create a unique and specific design for the model.

However, Ford is currently focusing on their electric SUV line-up, with the new electric Puma set to launch next year.

This model is expected to make electric cars more accessible for the brand, albeit at a higher price point compared to the upcoming ID.2.

As part of their new product plan, Ford is shifting their focus towards SUVs, abandoning sedans in favor of models that better align with the adventurous spirit of the brand.

The collaboration between Ford and Volkswagen is also temporary, with no plans to create new models beyond the upcoming SUV Coupe.

Ford is expected to develop their next electric models independently.
