Geely Confirms Arrival Of Zeekr X EV In Europe

The Geely Group has unveiled its latest electric vehicle, the Zeekr X, which will make its public appearance at the Shanghai Motor Show....
The Zeekr X will be offered in China with two different powertrains and in three trim levels.
The starting prices for the vehicle will be between 189,800 yuan and 209,800 yuan, or roughly between 25,130 euros and 27,780 euros.
The automaker has confirmed that the vehicle will also be available in Europe, but there is still no precise date for its release.
Design and Performance
The Zeekr X is based on the Geely Group's SEA platform, the same platform used for the new Smart #1.
Its design was developed at Geely's design center in Sweden.
The vehicle measures 4,450mm long x 1,836mm wide x 1,572mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,750mm.
The Zeekr X has the same wheelbase as the Smart #1, but is 180mm longer, 14mm wider, and 64mm lower.
The new model can be chosen with both a single 200 kW (272 hp) electric motor on the rear axle and with a dual power unit and all-wheel drive with a maximum output of 315 kW (428 hp).
The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds with the single electric motor and 3.7 seconds with the dual power unit.
The vehicle has a 66 kWh battery to power the powertrain.
The automaker claims an autonomy of 560 km and 512 km respectively, but these are values calculated according to the Chinese CLTC homologation cycle.
The units are developed and manufactured by VREMT, a wholly owned subsidiary of Geely.
The Zeekr X is available in six colors: Berlin Metallic Grey, Hangzhou Green, California Sunglow Pink, Athens Cloud White, Paris Cream Beige, and Sydney Harbor Blue.
In China, the vehicle can be requested in a 4 or 5-seater configuration.
The cabin has a minimalist look, but it is equipped with a large 14.6-inch touch display of the actual infotainment system that can be scrolled to move to the passenger side.
Behind the wheel, there is an 8.8-inch screen that shows the main gear information.
Also part of the equipment is a Head-Up Display.
