Hyundai Hit By A Hacker Attack In Italy
Hyundai Italia, the Italian subsidiary of the South Korean automaker, recently notified its customers via an official letter that their servers were targeted in a hacker attack....

According to the company, unauthorized third parties were able to access some information within the customer database.

In response to the breach, Hyundai Italia launched an investigation and took immediate action by blocking the affected server and removing it from the network.

The Guarantor for the Protection of Personal Data was also promptly notified.

The automaker has stated that the hackers may have gained access to customers' email addresses, telephone numbers, and chassis numbers of their vehicles.

However, the company has assured its customers that financial data and official identification numbers were not affected.

While there is currently no evidence that the accessed data has been used for fraudulent purposes, Hyundai Italia has advised customers to be vigilant and cautious of any contact attempt via email, post, or text message that may appear to come from the company or the Hyundai Group.

The company specifically recommends that customers do not click on any links that may be contained in any contact attempt.
