Chinese Brand HiPhi Wants To Bring Electric Cars To Europe
Human Horizons, the Chinese electric car manufacturer, is planning to expand its HiPhi brand to some European markets later this year. The company announced its plans for overseas expansion in an interview with Reuters....

Co-founder Mark Stanton stated that HiPhi will announce the specific European countries it will be entering at the upcoming Shanghai auto show in April.

The brand is targeting markets in Western Europe or Scandinavia where electric car penetration is higher.

"We don't want to overwhelm ourselves and do too much too quickly," Stanton said.

"We're going to dip our toe in the water and then start building our brand." With its connected electric cars boasting high-tech features, HiPhi is targeting younger, wealthier, and more open-minded consumers who have not yet developed a strong bond with established luxury brands like Mercedes or Porsche.

In China, HiPhi is currently selling the SUV X and the sedan Z, both of which have a range of up to 692 kilometers and prices starting at around 83,000 euros.

The company expects to sell around 4,000 to 5,000 units of these models this year.

HiPhi plans to launch a new premium model at a lower price point and with higher quantities soon, which should help to boost sales even further.

The expansion to Europe is part of HiPhi's overall strategy to become a global brand.

The company sees Europe as a key market, given the region's strong environmental and sustainability regulations, as well as the growing demand for electric vehicles.

However, entering the European market will not be easy, as there is significant competition in the luxury electric car segment.

Established brands like Tesla, Mercedes, Porsche, and Audi have already made significant strides in this market, and newer entrants like Lucid Motors and Polestar are also making waves.

To succeed, HiPhi will need to differentiate itself from the competition with its unique features and technology.

The company's vehicles are known for their high-tech features, including a massive 81.5-inch display that spans the entire dashboard, as well as an advanced AI assistant that can recognize and respond to voice commands.

HiPhi's vehicles also boast advanced connectivity features, allowing drivers to remotely monitor and control their cars using a smartphone app.

The company is also developing a unique battery-swapping technology that allows drivers to quickly and easily replace their car's battery, eliminating the need for lengthy charging times.

In addition to expanding its brand to Europe, HiPhi is also planning to launch in the United States in the near future.

The company sees the US as a key market given the country's large population and strong demand for luxury electric vehicles.

HiPhi's expansion plans reflect the growing global demand for electric vehicles, particularly in the luxury segment.

As more consumers become aware of the environmental and economic benefits of electric cars, the market is expected to continue to grow rapidly in the coming years.

With its advanced technology and unique features, HiPhi is well-positioned to capitalize on this trend and establish itself as a major player in the global electric car market.
