BYD Moves To Spain
The Chinese manufacturer BYD is expanding its development in Europe by establishing a presence in Spain....

It will offer a range of three models identical to those already available in France, including the Atto 3, which starts at 41,400 euros.

The brand plans to open two Pioneer Stores concessions, one in Madrid and the other in Barcelona, with additional points of sale to follow in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga, Seville, and the Canary Islands.

The brand will be represented by three major retail players in Spain: the Astara, Quadis, and Caetano Retail Spain groups.

As in France, BYD will import the C-segment SUV, the Atto 3, which has a range of 420 km according to the WLTP cycle.

The D-segment SUV, the Tang, and the E-segment sedan, the Han, will also be available, with both models starting at 69,990 euros.

The Tang offers a range of up to 400 km with seven seats, while the Han boasts a 380 kW (516 hp) engine and a range of 521 km.

Although the electric car market in Spain is not as developed as in other parts of Europe, BYD is not the first Chinese manufacturer to establish a presence there.

MG, DFSK, Seres 3, and Aiways are also operating in Spain with their respective models.

BYD has its headquarters in the Netherlands and is also present in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the United Kingdom.

In France, the brand is currently marketed exclusively by BYmyCAR, with only one Atto 3 registered in March 2023, but the company claims to have received several hundred orders.
