That's what Mexico's president announced recently, signaling the electric vehicle maker's push to expand its operations outside the US. According to the first figures, the deal is worth more than 5 billion dollars.

President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said "...the whole Tesla company" is coming to Mexico to build a "very big" car factory, noting that potential investments in batteries are still pending. However, it did not reveal what models it will produce.

A Mexican official said the plant would be a Tesla gigafactory that could produce the Semi Truck, Roadster sports car and possibly other vehicles. Another official said the plant could also produce (SUVs).
