Is there a lawn mower that has the performance of a race car? The answer is yes, Honda built it and it's called the Mean Mower V2: it's the fastest lawn mower in the world that reaches a top speed of 243 km/h and goes from 0-160 km/h in 6.29 seconds.
This particular mower is not for sale and was only built to capture the 0 to 100 mph (approx. 160 km/h) acceleration record achieved in 2019 for the prototype mower category.

Honda Mean Mower V2 is powered by a 203 HP 4-cylinder engine at 13,000 rpm, which usually powers the Superbike CBR 1000 RR Fireblade SP motorcycle. This engine, which has taken the place of the original 22 HP twin cylinder of the HF 2622, is mounted on a handcrafted frame wrapped in a real lawn mower body. The total weight is 140 kg. The Mean Mower also features racing accessories, such as the sport bucket seat, Sparco steering wheel, 10” Goldspeed wheels and Hoosier racing tyres.

What's funny about this prototype is that it also can cut the grass. In fact, at the record attempt, The mower was driven by professional racing driver Jess Hawkins, who before attempting the record, mowed the lawn around the circuit, to prove to the judges that it was a fully functional lawn mower.
