First we should note that the electric motor in the two-wheel drive versions of the refreshed Volvo XC40 and C40 has been moved from the front to the rear axle, which according to Volvo has increased the efficiency of the electric system.

At the base of the range is the version with a 238 PS engine working with a 69 kWh battery, which offers 460 km of range for the XC40 and 470 km for the C40. 0-100 km/h is completed for both models in 7.4".

Then in the range we find the version with a 252 PS electric motor that draws energy from a larger battery with a capacity of 82 kWh. 100 km/h from a standstill comes in 7.4" and the factory promises a range of 520 km for the XC40 and 530 km for the C40.

As for the four-wheel drive version, it is now driven by an electric motor with a performance of 249 PS on the rear axle and a second one with a power of 159 PS on the front axle. Thanks to the 82 kWh battery, the range has increased to 500 km for the XC40 and 510 km for the C40.
